The Mind is Your Oyster – What’s inside?

The quest to tackle the realities of generational curses, the vicious cycle of bad choices, and the exploration into the meaning of karmic debt has lead me on a journey to the sometimes frustrating conclusions of self discovery.

Karma. Someone has to pay.

In the grand scheme of things, what’s the purpose?  How do you stay true to yourself and hold yourself accountable when you want to scream fuck you at whoever might be listening?

The hamster wheel doesn’t seem so far fetch and the proverbial rat race has you demanding answers so you can stop the patterns in their tracks. The habits of the past have over stayed their welcome and your own mind is what’s getting in your way. You can’t let your mind dictate who you are. The past has no hold on you and your own history should stay where it belongs – behind you. Don’t look into the rear view anymore. Look forward. Don’t believe half of what you think. Rewrite your story. The subconscious mind (also known as the unconscious mind) is screaming at you to wake up.

It’s time to get your thoughts congruent with your story. The new story you tell yourself is the only way to change the habits and stop attracting that which doesn’t benefit you. Keep your integrity and your honesty especially when your head on collision with the face of adversity.

Your mind is your oyster and the pearl is beckoning to come out. Yes it’s cliche that everything happens for a reason. The only way to grow from it is to ask yourself a very significant question. And no, it’s not “why?” – that’s the old you. It’s time to ask yourself “Now what?!” Now what do I do with the information I have acquired? What do I do with the epiphanies of this morning?

Write out a paragraph or page of the perfect you. Write it in the first person. Be clear on your intentions and using the first person I AM or I HAVE. Be specific. Read it everyday 3 times a day for 30 days (or more). Read it until you know in your heart that this is your new story. Take your story with you to a quiet place each day to start the day.

Each morning get into a place of quiet. A meditative state to tune into your third eye chakra and let the peace bring you knowledge. Take some deep satisfying breaths. Read your new story out loud. Then close your eyes and picture yourself as you are in your story.  If your mind wonders and your thoughts get the best of you that’s ok. Kick em to the curb and show them who’s boss. Let them know you’ll get back to them later and for now it’s your time. Your story. Be still. Be one with your breath and look inside. What will you find?
